Abstrakt

Od ponad 40 lat badacze próbują zrozumieć zjawisko lekooporności depresji. Kolejne definicje oraz stosowanie etapowego leczenia nie zmniejszyły liczby lekoopornych, co może sugerować wpływ dodatkowych czynników, takich jak błędna diagnoza czy nieadekwatne leczenie, albo kumulację negatywnych czynników psychospołecznych. Aktualne strategie terapeutyczne uwzględniają stosowanie nowych metod biologicznych lub leków działających w innym mechanizmie niż dotychczas. Dotyczy to oceny efektywności leków glutamatergicznych i agonistów dopaminy stosowanych jako leczenie dodane lub w monoterapii.
