Abstract

Contact lens fitting in children still raises great deal of controversy, both for parents and eye care practitioners. This article is an attempt to find answers for the most common questions regarding pediatric contact lens fitting through data analysis of a range of recent studies and publications. The most frequent questions to be answered are connected with considerations for prescribing a refraction correction, safety of contact lens wear and children capability to handle contact lenses and comply.
