Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of eye drops containing cationic nanoemulsion with dexpanthenol versus dexpanthenol with hypromellose on early healing after Epi-Bowman Keratectomy. The study included 32 patients (63 eyes). UCVA, BCVA, pachymetry, corneal epithelization, visual blur, and eye irritation were assessed preoperatively and one week postoperatively. No significant differences were found between groups in age, refractive error, UCVA, pain, or blurry vision. Both treatments resulted in similar postoperative UCVA. Using a single product may improve patient comfort and treatment adherence.
