Abstrakt

Zespół suchego oka jest przewlekłą, wieloczynnikową chorobą powierzchni oka, której leczenie powinno mieć charakter długotrwały i regularny. Objawy zespołu suchego oka zależą od czynników środowiskowych i u niektórych pacjentów mogą się one nasilać w okresie letnim. Skuteczne leczenie powinno opierać się na doborze preparatu do dominującego mechanizmu. Dlatego oprócz częstego, codziennego nawilżania powierzchni oka ważne jest także wsparcie warstwy lipidowej filmu łzowego, regeneracja i ochrona powierzchni oka oraz higiena brzegów powiek.
