Abstrakt
Tematem artykułu jest miejsce nimesulidu, należącego do grupy niesteroidowych leków przeciwzapalnych, preferencyjnie działającego na COX2 w leczeniu bólu ostrego i przewlekłego. W artykule przedstawiono mechanizm działania nimesulidu z uwzględnieniem jego zalet i wad. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na możliwość zastosowania nimesulidu w leczeniu bólu ostrego pooperacyjnego i pourazowego oraz przewlekłego w ginekologii, neurologii, ortopedii, chorobach reumatycznych, jak również w praktyce lekarza rodzinnego.
