Dear Readers,
It is my pleasure to present the latest issue of “OncoReview”, featuring contributions that reflect the increasingly multidisciplinary nature of modern oncology.
Particular attention should be given to the review on immune checkpoint inhibitor-associated myocarditis prepared by authors from oncology centers in Siedlce and Warsaw. As immunotherapy continues to revolutionize cancer treatment across a growing number of malignancies, awareness of immune-related cardiovascular toxicities has become essential for oncologists and cardiologists alike. This timely article provides an up-to-date overview of the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and management of this potentially life-threatening complication.
The issue also includes an important contribution from the Department of Radiotherapy, Medical University of Lublin, discussing the role of intraoperative radiotherapy in the multimodal treatment of borderline resectable and locally advanced pancreatic cancer – one of the most challenging malignancies in contemporary oncology.
Finally, we are pleased to present an international collaboration involving authors from Yemen, Turkey, and Nepal, who report a fascinating six-year follow-up of recurrent olfactory groove meningioma, highlighting the importance of long-term clinical and radiological surveillance.
Together, these articles showcase both the high quality of research conducted in Polish oncology centers and the value of international scientific collaboration in advancing cancer care.
I hope you will find this issue informative and inspiring.
With best regards,
