Abstrakt
Allergic rhinitis (AR) is one of the most common chronic respiratory diseases, affecting up to 20–30% of the population in developed countries. The disease significantly reduces patients’ quality of life, impacts sleep, concentration, work and learning performance, and is closely associated with bronchial asthma. The contemporary approach to AR is based on the one airway concept, according to which the inflammatory process involves both the upper and lower respiratory tracts.
