Abstrakt

Rozpowszechnienie nadciśnienia tętniczego i wciąż niewystarczająca jego kontrola wymagają efektywnych środków terapeutycznych. Wydaje się, że w najbliższej przyszłości taką rolę spełnią leki złożone. Charakteryzują się one większą skutecznością niż inne leki hipotensyjne w tych samych dawkach stosowane oddzielnie. Leki złożone są również lepiej tolerowane i tańsze niż preparaty stosowane oddzielnie. Jeden ze skuteczniejszych leków złożonych stanowi połączenie inhibitora konwertazy angiotensyny i antagonisty wapnia. Oba preparaty oceniono w różnych populacjach chorych w licznych badaniach kontrolowanych. Wykazano, że połączenie dwóch powyższych komponentów skutecznie obniża ciśnienie tętnicze krwi i jest dobrze tolerowane.
